Political Lobbying via Employees?

The Guardian has this, claiming that the corporate world is pressuring employees to vote their way...

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/may/07/politics-at-work-e...

Lots of claims in here.

Stuffing paychecks with political info? Most companies use ADP or other services, which have virtually nothing in the envelope. And if you have Direct Deposit...

Is any of this actually true? I've never seen any of it, in over 40 years of various jobs, nor even heard about it from anyone. The only organizations that I know actually DO engage in this behavior are UNIONS. And they take money out of your paycheck to use for their political goals on top of that!

Is this just another attempt to tar others for what they're doing... distraction?

Because of the inherent power

Because of the inherent power imbalance between managers and workers....

If one's bias is toward "managers as oppressors" the story makes sense. For leftists, power explains everything.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Who the hell gets a pay

Who the hell gets a pay envelope in this day and age.

Exactly. This is exactly the

Exactly. This is exactly the kind of stupid lie to be expected from out-of-touch elites... people who never got paychecks, never got direct deposit, and so are totally unaware that anything has changed. Remember Bush1 encountering a supermarket scanner? That's what we have here...
