Wndham Elects 3 Republicans to Town Council

I have jsut been told that Windham voters elected 3 Republicans to jion its town council including Rent-A-Husband owner Kallie Warren who was unopposed.

The other two are Donna Chapman (defeated Michael Wozich by a vote of 773 to 634) who lost a fall race for Register of Deeds to Mallory Shaughnessy

Blaine Davis beat incumbent (Mallory's husband) Michael Shaughnessy for the at-large seat 736 to 728, according to unofficial results. A five vote differnce so a recount is expected.

As Windham is my town, I will post as soon as I hear the recount figures.
If the vote stands and Davis wins, there will be a significant attitude change towards rampant spending by the town manager.

Sling - I will keep my fingers crossed for you, and for Windham. I hope a recount confirms that Davis won.

I have to hand it to Blaine Davis. His grandfather passed away Monday evening and he went to the polls and shook hands. As I predicted to him, he won on the absentee ballot count which is something I work hard on in Windham. Tuesday night must have been an extremely emotional one for him and now he's left hanging with a recount.
My advice when we first talked when he announced his intentions was that it was possible for anyone to win in June in Windham.
I'm still a novice but I am learning.
Kaile Warren and Donna Chapman (formerly Donna for Deeds) will be great additions to our town council and Blaine will add the strength necessary for changes in Windham.
Windham, a town of over 16,000 that has no transfer station, bulkly waste pickup or dropoff and no leaf and brush pile.
Where or where to my tax dollars go?
Answer: New budget raises superintendent of schools salary to nearly $120,000 and not one councilor has dared to tell us if they gave the overpaid town manager a raise.
I'm give to give him a rise!

The recount was conducted this morning in Windham for the Town Council race and Republican Blaine Davis victory was confirmed. He won by 5 votes, 736 - 731.

I was also told last nihgt that the two school board members who won in Windham are Republicans so thay had a clean sweep.

We need to start replicating what they are doing.

I was there for the recount this (Tuesday) morning. Blaine was extremely happy to pull off beating an incumbent his first time as a candidate.
Should be an interesting year.
Had coffee with the some of the new councilors to seek out their opinions.
The times have changed.
